Under 10’s League Cup

Stanway Villa Reds 0 Cornard Dynamos Blues 4

Dynamos went to Stanway with the pressure of expectation on their shoulders that they should win this league cup tie. But as Cornard well know things don't always go your way. But credit to the boys they approached the game with the write attitude and with goals from man of the match Jamie Ward (1) Ryan McNicholas(1) and two from Joe copping the job was done with comfort. The only touch Charlie Stevens in the Dynamos goal got was when he played centre forward for the last five minuets.

Bures United Blues 4 Cornard Dynamos Reds 0

The draw that nobody wanted in the first round of the cup, up against last year’s winners, and from the league above Dynamo reds.  However this didn’t deter Dynamos, they played some determined football and the final score could have been very different, Thomas Baker and Josh Palmer were unfortunate that Bures’ keeper was on good form!  Sam Clark, Tyler Beer and Josh Bowles worked hard in midfield but were given few opportunities to convert, whereas Sam Ashby and Callum Smith were kept busy in defence.  Tom Clarke made good saves, but with two unstoppable goals in both the first and second half saw Cornard unable to reply.  A strong performance from Jack Martin-Halls saw him awarded man of the match.
