Bures 3 Clare Town Lions 0

This was a bottom of the table encounter and both teams were evenly matched during the early part of the first half. However, Bures looked more likely to score with some close misses and what looked like a certain goal cleared off the line. Man-of-the-Match James Cotier then scored the first of two goals, with his second coming just before half time. In the second half Bures continued to push forward and but for some last ditch saves from the Clare goal keeper could have gone further ahead. The third goal for Bures was scored late into the second half by Charlie Shennan. For the remainder of the match Bures were in control with solid defending and penetrating runs from Christopher Railton and Garrow Ford.

Lexden played host to Cornard for this top of the table clash in very soggy conditions but i am sure that everyone that watched this game didn't care because the football on show was fantastic. Lexden had most of the play in the first half with Dynamos playing on the break up to Chilli Wolf  but it was Lexden who took a one goal lead in to half time. The second started with a lay back to defender and man of the match Craig Doherty who passed it long to Kai Renolds who crossed it for Ryan McNicholas to shoot. The shot was saved but  Joe Copping was on hand to score the rebound. Cornard had more of the play in this second half and Lexden never really troubled Charlie Stevens in the Cornard goal thanks to fine defending by Zak Johnson and Samuel Mills. Tireless running from Nathan Wilson and Jamie Ward pushed Lexden back in to their own half but Cornard Could Not find the Winner. But on reflection a draw was a fair result and everyone watching were the winners.

Despite the relentless rain Dynamos played another good match.  Sam Ashby, Jack Martin-Halls and Callum Smith stayed strong in defence and there was good teamwork and passing from Thomas Baker, Tyler Beer and Sam Clark.  Man of the match Josh Bowles played some great football and scored our only goal.    There was end to end play, with some near misses from Owen Martin and Josh Palmer.  A penalty was awarded to Lexden when there was a ‘handball’ from Dynamos’ and although goalie Tom Clarke got a hand to it, it wasn’t enough to stop Lexden equalising.  Dynamos stepped up the pace but there just wasn’t time to score another goal.
